Define where you want to draw heatmaps with Geozones
A ‘Geozone’ is used to create heatmap reports by informing the platform which areas are being monitored by the current asset group. They are created at the group or floor level and represent the data from the devices.
Creating a Geozone
To copy or edit a zone to a new location, go to the “map” view.
Select the group level where the geo zones are that you wish to copy using the drop-down menu.
Click on the “tools” icon on the top right of your page to bring up the tools menu.
Click “Show geo zones”. This will show the drawn geo zone on the floor plan if one is already created.
If one is not already created, you can click on the map to draw the new Geozone.
Click “Geo Zone”. This will open a new window to edit, copy, delete the currently drawn geo zone.
Click 'save' to complete your changes.
Copying a Geozone
You can copy a Geozone to other asset groups or levels. This can be useful when making geo zones for multiple floors where the layout remains the same.
Click “copy” to bring up the building groups window to select where you wish to copy the zone.
Locations that already have geo zones will be greyed out with Bold text. These can be overwritten by toggling on the “Allow overwriting” switch.
Select the group(s) you wish to copy the zone to; this can be a single or multiple groups at one time. The selected group(s) will be highlighted as shown below with (Level One).
Click “copy” to confirm the selection.
Copied zones will be copied to the same location on the map, so if they need to be moved, you will need to edit the zone in the new location and drag it to its new position.
