Use heatmaps to easily highlight areas of interest on your floor plan

Heatmaps give you a quick visual indicator of the maximum and minimum values in your area. Perfect for environmental factors, such as temperature and humidity, our heatmaps allow you to identify the differences between areas and pinpoint areas that need the most attention.

This article covers how to set up a heatmap. For our heatmaps to function, you must first set up a geozone for that floor or area. You can see how to set this up here.

Setting up your heatmap

To get started, click on the asset group in the Accordion that you want to make the heatmap for. Heatmaps are stored against that group, and you can have a maximum of 1 heatmap set up per asset group or floor at a time.

To access your heatmaps, you first navigate to the toolbox icon in the upper right-hand corner of the map screen. This brings up your map tools.

Once open, select 'Heatmap' from the dropdown menu to open up the configuration screen.

In the heatmap menu, you have several options:

  • Show heatmap: do you want to show your heatmap by default when you click on this asset group?

  • Property: Which property within the platform do you want to plot on the map?

  • Minimum: What is the smallest value in the range?

  • Maximum: What is the largest value in the range?

  • Transparency: How transparent should the heatmap overlay be?

The heatmap will dynamically change as you update the values in each field and save automatically once you have finished configuring.
