Setting up Panels

How to setup your charts & visualisations

Each Data View comprises multiple panels. There are multiple types of panels within the platform that allow you to analyse your information and they fall into two groups.

Types of Panels

Standard

Standard Panels take in any type of data across the Metrikus platform allowing you to create time series visualisations and live charts for analysing information historically or whenever new information is available. There are three types of standard panels:

  • Dials

  • Charts

  • Map

Specialist

Specialist panels focus on specific problem areas and pull out industry information to analyse your data with. These charts allow you to quickly access insights that can be used to improve your space, floor utilisation and employee wellness. There are three types of Specialist Panels:

  • Occupancy

  • Capacity

  • Wellness

Creating a new Panel

Panels are created once you set up your data view. Click on the Data View you want to add panels to and you'll see the 'Add New Panel' option. If you already have panels on the data view, this option will be at the bottom of the Data View.

  1. When you create your new Data View, the ‘add a new panel’ will be automatically displayed.

  2. Hovering over the ‘Add new panel’ indicator will show the types of panels you can add.

  3. Select the panel you want to add and it will add the panel to your data view. By default, the panel will be added at the bottom of the Data View.

Setting up the panel

Once you've added your panel, you'll need to set up the filters. These filters allow you to select the assets you want to analyse as well as the type of analysis you want to do. The filters are always up in the top right-hand corner of the chart alongside the minimise/maximise, duplicate, delete and hide options.

In the filters you can select:

  • An asset property

  • An asset, or group of assets

  • The chart type

  • The time period

  • The sampling window

  • The aggregate type

You can also choose to select multiple properties and multiple assets, or groups, for comparison.

Once you're happy with the filters, click save and you've now set up your first panel!

You can create as many panels as you want in each data view. We've seen some data views with all the data they could possibly use and others with very specific data views to look at one thing in great detail. Both can work really well!

Once you're happy with your dashboard, you can review it whenever you would like. If you've used relative time periods, such as last day, or last month, the data view will update as new data comes through, or you could also share it with your teammates.
